Howdy folks,
This is another belated attempt at getting everything caught back up for us with our weekly updates. For the fourth time in a row, I'm highlighting our amazing journey out to the western part of the state to see El Morro National Monument. This time, finally, is the creme de la creme! Not only was El Morro known for its Zuni settlement up on top of it and the huge pool of water at the base of it, but because of the number of people that have passed by here over the last few thousand years to stop and get water, more than quite a few stopped to also carve petroglyphs and, later, their actual names into the face of the cliff that surround the pool As you'll see from the pictures, there is everything from prehistoric markings to later the Spanish conquistadors and then even later American soldiers during the mid-1800s. Enjoy the shots and make sure that this becomes a stop on a future drive around the West for you at some point!
See you soon.
