We’re Scott and Erin. An adventurous couple from the east that decided to uproot ourselves and move out west to start over. During the pandemic. Why, you ask? Lots of reasons. How are we adjusting? Pretty well, considering. Poke around our website to find out what we’re up to, see how we tend to learn things the hard way, and discover with us our new aspects of life on a New Mexico ranch. Scott

Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, this globe trotting, multi-lingual history geek had an itch to experience life in an environment foreign to him. One visit was all it took for Scott to decide that New Mexico was his next crazy adventure. After sweet talking his wife, Erin, they sold almost everything they owned, packed up the rest, and headed cross country with their 3 dogs and 4 cats. Leaving a life that he’s known since birth, now Scott happily manages a 275 acre ranch and cares for the 10 wild mustangs that roam the land. Find out what’s putting a smile on his face, and follow Scott’s adventures and discoveries, laced with some history, and his original pictures at Scott’s Sketches.

Erin

Known as the family vagabond, her life began in the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Erin would spend her entire childhood plotting her escape from the countryside only to dream of one day returning to the quiet rhythms of nature. While biding her time in concrete jungles around the country, Erin continued learning self-sustaining practices amid managing a determined life. So, when her husband, Scott, revealed his desire to move out west to pursue a different lifestyle, Erin was wild enough to agree and started packing. She now manages a large New Mexican ranch with her husband, while also maintaining their home and caring for their fur babies.
